Hijab street styles
The word “Hijab” is used for a veil which is commonly used by Muslim woman to cover her head, chest or the body. Muslim women use to wear the Hijab in front of the males while going outside the home. Hijab is basically an Arabic word but is used as it in different languages. The basic meaning of Hijab is “to cover”. It is the faith of Muslim women that Hijab provides them confidence, dignity and modesty. Some women who belong to religions other than Islam like Jews or Christians also wear Hijab for piety or as a cultural practice.
Women can wear Hijab in different ways; there are hundreds of styles in which Hijab can be worn. The major forms of Hijab include Shayla, Chador, Niqab and Burqa. While wearing the head, neck and chest of women is covered with rectangular scarf and is pinned at the shoulders. In case of Chador, a woman can cover her entire body by using a long cloak. In case of Niqab, the women use to cover their face along with their heads and chest, other person can only see their eyes. Women who use to wear a burqa cover their whole body including head, face, and chest. In most of the cases eyes are also covered and woman can see with the help of see through small screen.
